Marketing translation requires special skills. Texts must be translated, but also "adapted", keeping in mind cultural differences of the target audience.
Translation is not just about identifying the correct words, grammar or even style, it is also about creativity. In some cases such as the translation of slogans, I have to work closely with the client or their marketing department to capture the correct message and convey it in the correct format, which includes advise on colours or symbols.
