🎤 MedTranslate 2025 in Mulhouse
I was a speaker at MedTranslate 2025, the leading international conference for medical and scientific translation and interpreting professionals, held in Mulhouse, France (6–8 October 2025).
🎙️ Session: 15 Years of Language Quality Assurance in Medical Translation: Adapting to MT, MTPE, and the Rise of AI
In this talk, I shared practical insights drawn from over 15 years of hands-on experience in Language Quality Assurance (LQA). The session explored how LQA has evolved from fully manual workflows to machine translation, post-editing (MTPE), and AI-assisted processes, and what this means in real terms for quality, risk management, and accountability in medical translation.
The focus was firmly on maintaining accuracy, reliability, and patient safety in an increasingly automated environment, with takeaways relevant to translators, project managers, LSPs, and clients.
